Harrington_Combat Gunnery became increasingly important as the 15th Century wore on.

The Companye utilises handgunners as part of our lance structure. An article on 15th Century gunnery will appear here shortly.

Handgunners

Examples of mid 15th Century arqebuses. The slow match is held within a serpentine, which lowers via a trigger into the priming pan. This powder ignites through to the main chamber detonating the charge.

Harrington handgunners in action supporting the infantry. As in all early guns, they are inaccurate but highly effective at close range – even against armour.
