The Harrington Banner

The new banner of the Companye was flown for the first time at the recent Naseby training event.

Harrington Banner

The banner is an authentic replica of a 15th C banner which would have been flown from Wolfage Manor (Brixworth), or above the camp when on Campaign. It is different to the Battlefield standard, which would have been a square of stiffened linen.

The banner displays the White Lion charged upon the shoulder with the Chess Rook Gules (red), the motto of the household, and emblazoned with the knot and rook heraldic devices. It is made from silk, with the motifs appliqued upon it.

Essex Social Meet Up

The Southern wing of the Harringtons will be celebrating Christmas with a visit to the pub!

All welcome. A great opportunity for those new to the Society and those considering membership to come along and find out more about the MSS, and obtain useful hints and tips on kit.
