The Companye are delighted to announce a return once more to Delapre Abbey, the location of the 1460 Battle of Northampton.
This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, and will now take place over two days on the 9th & 10th July.
The event will be focused around the 1460 dateline and will show civilian life, as well as the military aspects of the time. As per last year a spectacular tournament will be staged, accompanying displays relevant to the 1460 Battle.
In staging this event for the Delapre Abbey Preservation Trust, we will be partnering with our friends The Company of St Barbara, one of the UK’s premier gunnery groups. Their display will feature cannons, handguns and other period pieces and will provide a great perspective on the site given the 2015 archaeological discovery of a cannonball from the 1460 battle.
